Mechanical Liens Information

If a vehicle has been left with you for repairs and the work is complete but you have not been paid, you can file for a Mechanical & Storage Lien.  You wll need the following to do this:

1. A signed and completed work order
2. Your Tax ID number

Repairs must have been completed for a minimum of 30 days.  Liens have to be finalized in the county where your mechanical shop is located. 

Liens take approximately 45 days to be completed.  These liens must be completed in a very specific order and can be complicated.  We are happy to help with this process.
